I-Cane, "intelligent" cane (Dutch: intelligente blindenstok)
CEO Huub GrootenThe I-Cane is a project that aims to develop and sell a modular "intelligent" cane, equipped with integrated sensors and actuators to support blind people in navigation and obstacle avoidance. This high-tech cane might therefore include tactile feedback (e.g., the "tactile arrow" as designed by Monique de Wilt), GPS support, a talking compass, a 3-D camera and a host of other components.
